St Mirren have promoted former international goalkeeper, Andrew Braid, to lead the team reconstruction under new manager, Brian Rice.
Braid has been with St Mirren since 2017 and is known for his skills as a goalkeeping coach. He has also worked with some of Scotland's top clubs such as Rangers and Hearts, where he helped them win the Scottish Cup in 2015.
Under Brian Rice, who has previously managed teams such as Dundee United and Celtic, the club will be looking to rebuild its squad and get back into the top flight of English football.
Rice, who has also played for several clubs, is a former professional player himself, having played for the England national team at senior level. He was appointed as the club's new manager in June this year after leaving his previous position at Crystal Palace.
The promotion of Braid to lead the team comes as a welcome development for St Mirren, who currently sit in 18th place in the league table and need to improve their results if they want to compete in the top flight next season. The club will now focus on rebuilding its squad and improving its performance on the pitch.
